Bill Norton

William J. Norton was born in California during 1959. He holds a Masters Degree in Aeronautical Engineering. Bill is a flight test engineer, presently serving as an instructor at the National Test Pilot School in Mojave, California. This continues a 30-year career begun with 20 as a US Air Force officer where he also served as aircrew on test and support aircraft. Bill has held numerous positions in many organizations on more than two dozen programmes spanning all aircraft types. He has penned numerous technical papers, ten books, and scores of magazine articles. Bill is a civil pilot, restored and operates a DHC-1 Chipmunk, and built a Rutan Long-EZ. Other interests include plastic modelling, photography, creative writing, running and home improvement.
