West Midlands PTE was established in late 1969 and combined the bus operations and fleets of Birmingham, Walsall, Wolverhampton and West Bromwich and later the bus garages in the area that were formally Midland Red along with the vehicles plus the Coventry Corporation operations. This publication gives a brief overview of the history of the WMPTE and then goes on to illustrate the numerous vehicle types that made up the fleet.
